Improvements to Company Account Management in B2B Edition

Starting in the week of July 10, 2024, B2B Edition stores using the Buyer Portal experience received a refreshed layout to the Company details page, visible when clicking a Company’s name in the Companies area of the B2B Edition dashboard. This update improves the workflow of viewing and updating Company account information, and includes a new setting for uploading file attachments for internal reference.
The previous layout for the Company details page had a different look and feel from other areas of the B2B Edition dashboard, and provided a user experience that was not fully optimized for managing account information for your B2B clients. The new layout improves the existing page by:
Using designs that are more consistent with the B2B Edition dashboard, as well as the BigCommerce control panel
Allowing you to edit Company information without clicking additional buttons
Informing you when there are unsaved changes to prevent accidental data loss
Supporting additional file attachments so that you can keep your clients’ documents in one place
If you are already using the B2B Edition Buyer Portal experience, the Company details page has already been updated for you — no additional setup is required. If you’re using the legacy storefront experience, you can migrate your store to take advantage of the improvements to Company details, as well as other B2B features. Note that in both experiences, this update does not change any existing Company account information.
To access the Company details page, go to the Companies area of the B2B Edition dashboard, then click on a Company’s name, or select View details from its action menu. View and edit different aspects of the Company account by clicking on the appropriate information tab.
To upload files to a Company account, go to the Attachments tab. Drag and drop the file into the upload field, or click Upload to select them from your device. Each Company account can have up to 10 file attachments.
